EUROGEO is a partner in the recently approved PIRI REIS: Network, Collaboration and Development for Geographers Project led by Dicle University, Turkey. PiriReis Project announces the first Annual Turkish Association of Geographers conference Call for participation
PIRI REIS, aims to:
1) provide training for geography academics in the areas where they lack skills and knowledge. The training will include a seminar that will focus on analysis programs such as SPSS and GIS, referencing programs such as EndNote.
2) PIRI REIS will also organize workshops for developing a sample curriculum for VET for professional geographers.
3) It will establish a geographical association for networking among geographers and the association will continue to work with EUROGEO for internationalization purposes.
4) A journal will be formed to create a platform for the presentation of research and collaboration.
