European Geography Journal to be launched A small EUROGEO group has been meeting with the goal to set up a new international journal, the European Journal of Geography. We plan to launch the first edition in late 2009. President: Karl Donert (UK) One member was co-opted to the Presidium to represent young geographers: Salman Qureshi (AT) Statutes EUROGEO Conferences Proceedings from the 2009 joint conference with HERODOT with the theme "Geographical Diversity" are available now EUROGEO will hold its next Conference in Athens, Greece in September 2011. What is EUROGEO? EUROGEO as an association was set up in 1979 with strong support from the European Commission. Members from national associations formed a European association to represent the viewsd and opinions of geographers in different European countries to the EU . The assoiciation has had participatory status at the Council of Europe sonce 1989. EUROGEO has established its legal home in Belgium as an International not-for-profit organisation.
